The Epic of Meghvansh-1

The Epic of Meghvansh is being written
In the present times Meghvanshis and non-meghvanshis have started doing research work on various smaller groups of Meghvansh. I have known a few. Dr. Dhian Singh Bhagat from Jalandhar has completed his doctorate on Kabirpanthis of Punjab (now it can be seen at this link - http://meghkabir.blogspot.com/). Mr. Mohan Devraj Thontya from Karachi has submitted his thesis on Meghwars. Mr. Navi Achariya is doing research and seems interested in some particular gotras and Megh Bhagats and visits MEGHnet regularly. Thanks to all of them and good wishes for their career. Dr. Dhian Singh’s thesis is in Hindi and requires to be retyped in Unicode before it can be published on net. An article of Mr. Mohan Thontya has been published on the website of Maheshwari Meghwars and his full thesis is expected soon which will be in English. In addition to this research work, recently I have seen a book named ‘Meghvansh: Ek Singhavlokan’ written by Mr.R.P. Singh, an IPS officer from Rajasthan cadre. I am getting some parts of it typed in Unicode Hindi fonts and soon you will see it on MEGHnet. There is yet another book ‘Meghvansh:Itihas Aur Sanskriti’ being printed by Samyak Prakashan, New Delhi. They are reputed publishers of Buddhist literature. It is learnt that the book will be in the market by January 2011. For the time being, however, I can offer you reading of Mr. Mohan Thontya’s article on this link.  ORIGINS OF MEGHWAR AND MEGH RIKH

  1. Dear Mr Bharat Bhushan,
Thank you very much for having posted the article for public opinion. I would like to further tell that the proper title of the article has been fixed as the 'ORIGINS OF MEGHWAR AND MEGH RIKH which corresponds to the contents of the research article.
    Mohan Devraj Thontya.
